Celebrities, politicians, and media gathered at the 21st Annual Garden Brunch to celebrate White House Correspondents Weekend. This year’s event honored two organizations that support veterans and their families, Dog Tag Bakery and Blue Star Families. Connie Milstein and Father Richard Curry of Dog Tag Bakery spoke to the crowd about their cause and the importance of supporting disabled veterans.

“The weekend started about supporting freedom of the press…but it’s great that events like the Garden Brunch celebrate things that are happening in the philanthropic world.” Steve Case spoke about the importance of bringing people together during White House Correspondents Weekend to support great causes such as Dog Tag Bakery and Blue Star Families.
“Any time we can spread the word that disabled veterans can be trained to contribute to society, it’s a very good thing.” Father Richard Curry of Dog Tag Bakery spoke about the importance of raising awareness for his cause at Saturday’s Garden Brunch.
