2026 White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch
The White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch marked its 33rd anniversary today, returning to Georgetown’s historic Beall-Washington House to bring together guests from government, media, tech, business, and entertainment in honor of the press, public servants, and military families, particularly the mothers and spouses of active-duty service members. The annual gathering was co-hosted by Tammy Haddad, Kevin Sheekey, David Urban, Mark and Sally Ein, Jon Banner, and Franco Nuschese.

2025 White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch


The White House Correspondents’ Weekend Garden Brunch marked its 32nd year on Saturday, April 26. Actor Jason Isaacs, star of The White Lotus Season 3, joined Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)—co-chair of the Congressional Fire Services (Firefighters) Caucus—to present Garden Brunch awards to the first-responder heroes of January’s mid-air disaster, when American Airlines Flight 5342 collided with an Army UH-60 Black Hawk near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Among the honorees was former Marine and rookie D.C. firefighter Sean Wathen, who kept vigil for nearly four hours beside the body of Staff Sgt. Ryan O’Hara after the crash.
The 2025 Garden Brunch was co-hosted by Tammy Haddad, Kevin Sheekey, Mark and Sally Ein, David Urban, Teresa Carlson, and Franco Nuschese.

The White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch is an annual gathering of leaders in government, politics, media, business, and entertainment during the Correspondents’ Weekend that uses its power and purpose to honor an important cause.
The first Garden Brunch took place in Tammy Haddad’s backyard more than 30 years ago, ahead of the 1993 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
The #GardenBrunch honors the freedom of the press and highlights the important work of veterans and military family organizations. Over the years, Garden Brunch honorees have included: Blue Star Families, a military family support organization; Dog Tag Bakery, a disabled veterans entrepreneurship program; NS2 Serves, a veterans hiring program; the Bob Woodruff Foundation, supporting our nation’s injured service members, veterans, and their families; CURE Epilepsy; and more. Special thanks to Compass Coffee and Georgetown Cupcake for always supporting our veterans.

Ukraine Ambassador Oksana Markarova presented actor Liev Schreiber with a Champion of Democracy award at the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunchwhere he delivered a powerful speech, in recognition of his work as a co-founder of BlueCheck Ukraine (watch here).
Maryland Governor Wes Moore recognized the philanthropic efforts of Craigslist founder Craig Newmark, who presented on stage a check for $500,000 to veterans charity Blue Star Families.
The 30th Anniversary Garden Brunch was held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the historic Beall-Washington home in Georgetown from 11am-2pm prior to the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
The first Garden Brunch took place in Tammy Haddad’s backyard 30 years ago, ahead of the 1993 WHCA Dinner.
Joining Haddad as this year’s Garden Brunch co-hosts were Gayle King, Kevin Sheekey, Mark & Sally Ein, Stephanie Ruhle, Jon Banner, Craig Minassian, Franco Nuschese, Teresa Carlson, Kelley McCormick, David Adler, and Dan Meyers.
The #GardenBrunch honors the freedom of the press and highlights the important work of veterans and military family organizations, a tradition that continued this year as a celebration of freedom and democracy worldwide.
