Van Susteren and Coale to attend Kardashian Wedding

August 19, 2011 By WHC Insider

Kim Kardashian, Greta Van Susteren and John Coale at the 2010 WHC Garden Brunch

The White House Correspondent’s Dinner has a history of building relationships.  In 2010, Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren brought Kim Kardashian to the weekend full of festivities.  Having kept in touch,  Greta and her husband, John Coale received an invite to the upcoming wedding of Kardashian to NBA player Kris Humphries this weekend in California.

Coale told POLITICO “Should be a real hoot!”

Another famous DC duo are also reportedly in Cali to do some baking for the wedding.

Greta Remains 10 o'clock's Incumbent for 2010

June 17, 2010 By WHC Insider

Don’t know what to watch at 10 p.m. for the next two years? Well breathe easy, because Greta Van Susteren’s going to get you through it.

When not keeping up with a Kardashian (left, at the White House Correspondents’ Brunch,) Van Susteren’s has lead Fox News’ coveted 10 p.m. slot since 2002 with On The Record. The New York Times reports the host is keeping her spot for “several more years,” which quashes rumors of a Glenn Beck bump up.

Though Van Susteren may soon find a rival in Lawrence O’Donnell, who will host an as-yet-untitled 10 p.m. show for MSNBC and complete the Keith Olbermann Show Factory moving along. We can’t wait for D.C. to take sides in the Team Susteren/Team O’Donnell wars, if only because things are so boring now that Leno and Conan stopped fighting.

Wendy Williams walked into the 2010 White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch with a smile on her face. If the talk show host were harboring any bad feelings about whom she would potentially be dining with that evening, it sure didn’t show.

Williams was escorted to the brunch by American Urban Radio Network‘s White House correspondent April Ryan and was to be seated at the network’s table at the annual WHCA Dinner later that evening. Except Williams didn’t go to the dinner.

According to the NY Daily News, the American Urban Radio Network also invited former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth to the dinner without realizing the two women have had an ongoing tiff since 2008.

Welcome to Washington, Wendy!

White House Correspondents' Dinner: Time Scores Big Guests

April 13, 2010 By WHC Insider

More folks are clamoring for tickets to the 2010 White House Correspondents’ Dinner than ever before and we’re starting to learn who some of the lucky ticket bearers will be: WWD reports Time will be bringing Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, along with Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley.

Spielberg is no stranger to the WHCD or Washington; he was recently in D.C. to screen HBO’s latest miniseries “The Pacific” at the White House for the president. The Commander in Chief just happened to also be the number one person guests wanted to meet at last year’s WHCD, according to our random and unscientific poll at the 2009 Garden Brunch.
